Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is an energy healing technique where the practitioner channels energy into the client by using light touch, working through healing the areas needing healing as guided by the energy itself and intuition. This energy activates the natural healing process of the client’s body, which then releases all stressors and balances the client’s emotional, physical, mental and spiritual well-being.
Much like our blood, our bodies have an energy field that is central to our health and its proper functioning. Just like our arteries can become blocked or weakened, so can our energy. If blockage occurs, we feel the effects, such as sickness, stress, anxiety which leads us to become emotionally unbalanced as well.
Your Reiki practitioner is trained to scan, find and alleviate these areas, with the intention to create a deep relaxation to help speed the body’s natural healing, reduce pain, and decrease many other symptoms the client may be experiencing.
The client is fully clothed and comfortably lying down on a treatment table, in a very calm and quite room.
Following a sequence of specific hand positions, the practitioner lays their hands on the client’s body. These hand positions are never intrusive, inappropriate and there is never any applied pressure. At the client’s request, Reiki can be performed without touch. The Reiki energy is transferred through the practitioners hands through to the client’s body, going directly to the where the specific healing is needed at that time.
Before the client leaves, your practitioner will spend a few moments to discuss the healing experience with you, answering any questions and possibly providing you with any insights or intuitive messages that may come through during your session.These messages are general for healing purposes and allows the client to be an active participant in their personal healing process.
Reiki is safe and will not interfere with medications, and it can support and compliment many other medical treatments.
