What is reflexology and how its differ from massage or acupuncture

REFLEXOLOGY is the process of healing the specific areas of feet by the application of pressure. Reflexology is generally relaxing and the most effective way to alleviate stress. According to the reflexologists pressing of body organs and system relieve the pain and creates real benefits for the person’s health.

During a session,n the continuous stimulation of these points sends messages to the CNS (Central Nervous System) to decompress, which brings the body as a whole to homeostasis/balance, which helps the body move towards wellness.

Several studies funded by the National Cancer Institute and the National Institutes of Health indicate that reflexology may reduce pain and psychological symptoms, such as anxiety and depression, and enhance relaxation and sleep.

How does reflexology differ from massage or acupuncture?

People confuse between reflexology and acupuncture or massage therapy. But there is much difference between these therapies. Massage therapists manipulate larger areas of soft tissue in the body while reflexologists apply pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, and ears. Reflexology does not involve any physical manipulation or pressure but instead uses the light touch to work with the subtle vibrational field thought to surround the body.

We have developed and refined my reflexology techniques over many years to make sure each session is pain-free but has a very powerful end result. For more details and treatments visit my site: http://www.spinewise.ca/
